Bullying is among the top concerns of parents and is a top concern of young people themselves. More young people phoned Childline last year about bullying than any other issue. Bullying is prevalent in all schools. We are among the growing number of organisations who are not prepared to accept this situation and who are working very hard to change it. We understand that bullying can destroy lives.

At a time when young people should be enjoying themselves and feeling hopeful about the future many are confronted with physical and emotional abuse in various forms. We care because bullying in any form causes harm - both to the target and the perpetrator. Bullying has a negative impact on people’s health, educational achievement and quality of life.

More to the point we care because we understand that bullying is preventable. Bullying is something that can be challenged and overcome. Cultures of bullying can be changed and people’s lives can be enriched. We are here to assist schools, young people and adults because we believe they can be empowered with new skills and approaches. People can become more comfortable with challenging bullying. Confidence can increase. Every Child Matters.
