Vision: A Positive Learning and Behavioural Environment For All

Leicestershire County Council is commited to the creation of positive, safe learning environments in which everyone has the opportunity to thrive and prosper emotionally, socially and academically. It will not tolerate bullying of any member of the school community.

All members of our school community have the right to feel valued, equal and respected and be able to come to school without fear.

Bullying can have a serious and long lasting effect on the victim's emotional and mental health. This can lead to schoolphobia, truancy, poor academic achievement, low self-esteem and, in extreme and tragic cases, suicide.

It is the responsibility not only of the school community but society as a whole to do everything in its power to eradicate bullying.

The Leicestershire County Council will actively work in partnership with schools, parents, other agencies and providers to create a fair, just and violence free community in Leicestershire.
